A tournament in Napoli is complete… failure
As a result of suspending an ATP 250 tournament in Moscow, Napoli got a one year licence to organise a tournament. The place where the matches are held has a beautiful landscape, but since the 1st of qualifications, problems started…
The 1st day of qualifications brought major problems. As the courts had many bumps, players refused to play at those courts. Qualifications had to be relocated to another tennis club in Napoli.
Organizers were waiting for a new surface to come from Firenze, meaning that the start of the main draw was late for one day (there weren’t any matches on Monday).

World no.62 in doubles, Nicolas Barrientos, was kicked out of his room.
It looked like all problems were done, but last night, the match between Moutet and Nardi was interrupted and postponed for today. Reason for that is the fact that courts are close to sea plus huge humidity resulting in courts becoming wet…
It’s Wednesday and what’s next that we could see in Napoli, we will find out. All in all, this is probably the worst ever tournament to be held.
