If I am in a crappy position and the opponent’s next shot almost certainly wins the point but by a fluke the net cord wins me the point, of course I should apologise. It wasn’t anything about my skill that did it

Australian Open in October school holidays before the @atptour @WTA and @DavisCup finals. Then rest and recuperate over Dec/Jan for February start to season. At least consider it tennis boffins!!
